Dr. Bodor has been in private practice in Napa since 1995 and is on staff at Queen of the Valley and St. Helena Hospital. He is affiliated with the Department of Neurological Surgery, University of California San Francisco, and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, University of California Davis. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as subspecialty board certified in Sports Medicine and in Pain Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and a Senior Member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
Dr. Marko Bodor serves as Director of Medical Research for the Napa Medical Research Foundation, conducting and coordinating research and devoting his efforts to develop new and improved treatments for patients with neurological and orthopedic problems. Dr. Bodor is also Medical Director of the Wellness Center at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, California.
Dr. Bodor graduated from Harvard University with an AB in biology and went on to study medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical School. After obtaining his MD, he completed an internship in surgery at the University of California, San Diego. He then worked for two years taking care of the poor and indigent in southeast San Diego before going on to a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Michigan. Dr. Bodor came to Napa to become the medical director of the acute rehabilitation unit from 1995 to 1997 at Queen of the Valley Medical Center (QVMC), where he remains on active staff. Dr. Bodor is also affiliated with St. Helena Hospital, the Department of Neurological Surgery at University of California San Francisco and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at University of California Davis.
Dr. Bodor’s research has spanned a wide range of topics from basic science to clinical medicine, from the prevention of disease and injury to exercise-based treatments, regenerative medicine and ultra-minimally invasive surgery. He has published in peer-reviewed journals on a variety of topics ranging from degenerative discs to anterior cruciate ligament injuries, vaccination-related shoulder dysfunction, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy.
