Augmented Reality Injection Trainer
Ready for on-site training for MSK ultrasound injections?The IOF has a training tool that can help! It is a package that consists of an IOF instructor, an ultrasound machine, and a needle that uses augmented reality to show the trajectory of the needle “inserting” into its subject. See the generated image of the needle on the live ultrasound image! Virtually any MSK injection can be taught with this technology and a live “patient” model. This is a fantastic program to use when considering the needs for institutions, clinics, fellowship programs, and anyone wanting to enhance their injection skills.
The augmented reality injection trainer eliminates the need for cadavers for injections under ultrasound guidance. There is no longer a need to wait for a course to learn ultrasound injection skills! There is a simple day rate for this program. Get your training done on your own time at your home base.
Requirements:
- Attendee(s) must be IOF Active, Fellow, Fellowship, or Student Member-eligible (associate members do not qualify) – Must have a physical location for on-site trainings. (Trainings cannot be
virtual at this time) - The site must have at least one live model for each augmented reality trainer and provide access to any additional ultrasound machines
- The site must provide breakfast and lunch for each training day
Pricing:
- Base price per day, up to 5 attendees and up to a 10-hour day (including breaks): $10,000
- Make it a formal, IOF intermediate-level course (either hip/knee,
shoulder/elbow/ or wrist/hand/ankle/foot): $1000 for CME and $900 per non-member attendee and $500 per member attendee - IOF assessment tool: this is the first step towards competency certification. The instructor is able to “test” you and assess your skill level for injection technique for any MSK body region: $500 per assessment
