Dr. Christopher J. Rogers is a board-certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician and founder of the San Diego Orthobiologics Medical Group. Dr. Rogers first developed his interest in Sports Medicine in 1984 while working as an Athletic Trainer for the UCLA Athletic Department, where he obtained his bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Kinesiology. He received his medical degree from Saint Louis University in 1993 and served as Chief Resident at the University of Texas, San Antonio in 1997. Following this, he completed a non- surgical sports and spine care fellowship. In 1998, Dr. Rogers joined the University of California, San Diego Department of Orthopedics as an Associate Clinical Professor and continues to serve as a Voluntary Clinical Professor. In 2000, he started private practice with San Diego’s largest orthopedic group, Orthopedic Specialists of North County. With more than 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Rogers is recognized as one of the leading experts in the field of Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine. He is a nationally recognized lecturer at medical conferences including the Regenerative Medicine Training Institute, Interventional Orthopedics Foundation and The Orthobiologic Institute. Dr. Rogers serves as Medical Director for Personalized Stem Cells, Inc. a sponsor of FDA approved clinical trials of stem cell therapy and has published extensively on Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine. In 2016, Dr. Rogers founded the San Diego Orthobiologics Medical Group with the mission of serving San Diegans and dedicated to advancing the field of Regenerative Medicine through research, physician training and technology development. He and his colleagues, Dr. Mary A. Ambach, Dr. Mirielle Diaz-Molina and Dr. Edmund Evangelista enjoy educating patients at their popular webinar series, “Ask the Docs”, and on their YouTube Channel. Along with Dr. Gerry Malanga and Jay Bowen, Dr. Rogers co-founded, DataBiologics, a software company that has created the world’s largest database for tracking patient outcomes following a diverse range of non-surgical orthopedic procedures. He has been featured on the Golf Channel’s Golf Fitness Academy and at the World Golf Fitness Summit and has been honored four times in San Diego Magazine’s “Top Doctor” issue. In his free time, he enjoys golf, photography, hiking and traveling with his family.
